"Gorgeous aromas and delicate flavour. The perfect sake for your next dinner party."

"TAO" is a sake created by the Umeda Sake Brewery (Umeda Shuzojo) in Hiroshima Prefecture, which has won numerous gold medals at the world's best sake competitions. Its superb aromas and delicate flavours make this sake the perfect accompaniment for your next dinner party.

The name comes from the Japanese word "taoyaka", which means supple and elegant. The label design is also unique. The "T", "A", and "O" is visible on a pattern with colours reminiscent of the traditional Japanese kimono colour schemes (Kasane no Irome).

The beauty of "TAO" comes from its gorgeous scent and mellow taste and a design that was inspired by the elegance of Japanese kimonos. We hope you'll enjoy TAO's fruity and beautiful flavour with its soft and satisfying mouthfeel!

The Umeda Brewery

The Umeda Sake Brewery wishes to send world-class sake directly from its hometown in Hiroshima. As a result, "TAO" is brewed with rice, water, and yeast, all sourced from the prefecture. The Hattan Nishiki rice is entirely grown in the vicinity of the brewery. The local "Hiroshima Ginjo Yeast" is used and is responsible for TAO's unique fruity and gorgeous scents. The water used is pumped from 60 meters underground from Mount Iwataki, a local symbol of Funakoshi, Aki-ku, Hiroshima City, where the sake brewery is located.
